Johnson Space Center Astronomy Society Meeting
Our November meeting this Friday will be interesting: How would you like to find your own meteorite? Expeditions go to Antarctica for that exact reason. Our guest presenter, Dr. Stan Love from NASA, will tell us about his trip to the bottom of the world to collect meteorites.
Have you seen Venus in the SW sky at sunset? How about the Andromeda Galaxy overhead to the NE? They and other interesting observing targets will be covered in the "What's up in the sky this Month" talk. Other intriguing topics are "Astro Oddities" and the popular novice Q & A Session. We'll also discuss our upcoming Star Parties and the recent Astronomy Day.
JSCAS is open to anyone who wants to learn about astronomy and membership is FREE! After joining, you'll have access to our Loaner Telescopes and our amazing DVD Library with 100's of choices to learn from (from Astronomy Magazine, NASA, etc.). Our meetings are held on the 2nd Friday of each month at 7:30 pm in the lecture hall of the USRA Bldg. (3600 Bay Area Blvd. at Middlebrook Dr.) For more info, see our website at http://jscas.net.

Note to all those who have borrowed DVDs from the JSCAS Media Library: The DVD Library will NOT be available for this meeting only. Please hold on to your DVDs until the next meeting at USRA / LPI.
