<b>Bruce Pollard</b>, a 20-year veteran of the North Houston Astronomy Club, will speak on
<i>"<b>Lightwaves and Their Uses</b>”</i>. Pollard received his PhD from the University of Florida in Chemistry, specializing in design and automation of atomic spectrometers. Pollard’s research has expanded the single channel signal to noise studies on the
camera detectors that have millions of channels we use for astronomical studies today.
